well just hought i would do an update for anyone interested in albany assistance and or my experience think there were a couple of people that had read my posts a while ago.
Anyway had car accident last year not my fault admiral passed me to albany assistance, they got me a hire car at high costs and the other side refused to pay costs, albany assistance took tthem to small claims court, i had to provide all assistance as required in the contract i signed, so i had to send copies of all my pay slips and bank accounts and credit cards to prove that i could not afford to hire a car out of my own pocket.
the other side still did not settle so had to go for an informall court hearing in ajudges chambers had 2 i was issued my solicitor and i had to be cross examined about my finances and reasons for needing a car. it was an interesting experience to say least i was rather nervous having never done anything like this before. In end the judge decided clearly i did not have enough money to afford to hire my own car and albany and me won the case, soooo finally the saga is over after about 10 months yay.

So it was the (unnamed!) other side that caused you the hassle, not albany!0

Albany were very helpful to me, although I must say they never asked if I could afford the hire car just if my car was dangerous to drive.Save £200 a month : [STRIKE]Oct[/STRIKE] Nov Dec Jan Feb Mar Apr0

i dint even know what impecunous ment till i got to court lol
anyway you are right i could not afford to hie a car or get taxis to worrk and back wich is what the other side suggested even the judge agreed with that when he looked at my finances.
anyway its all done and to be honest i can not blame the otherside the charges that albany assistance were charging for car hire they gave me were rather large at nearly 100 a day. pesonally i think the person that hit me shouyld be paying the bill not his insurance he deserves it. anyone that drives into the back of you while you are sat at a set of red lights in a long queue is not the most observant of drivers in my book.0 -
If Albany did not ask if you could afford to hire a car, it's lucky for them you could not afford it0
