Remortgage, redemption sum a bit off

I'm due to complete on a remortgage from Halifax to Britannia on tuesday. Britannia's solicitors have given me a spreadsheet detailing the advance that Britannia are providing, their fees and the amount that Halifax have requested.
The figure from Halifax is around £900 higher than it should be. I spoke to halifax and they confirmed the amount that would be due next Tuesday (including ERC) - confirming the solicitors have a different amount listed. The figure quoted by Brit's solicitors is also for the date of next Tuesday, so it's not like they have taken a figure that was from an older date (and it would have to be a lot older as interest is £120 per week).
Halifax did say that if they receive too much then they will reimburse, and they also confirmed there were no other charges.

Does this sound normal behaviour? It's my first bank-switching remortgage exercise, so never too sure of what to expect!

Brit sols will only be working off a figure that Halifax gave them. It's often wrong but keep an eye on it.

Thanks J, was expecting it to be a figure that's provided and not something that the solicitors have bit a bit extra on for their own nefarious reasons..
I've instructed the solicitors to pay what the Halifax want as I have a record now of what the Halifax should expect and then get a cheque back for the leftover bit... and it saves the solicitors from doing more legwork for me (and potentially putting back the completion date!)

Absolutely. Your solicitor will reimburse any overpaid amounts. So no need to worry.
