Prices quoted seem high - for comparison I'm getting 4kwp (16 panels) for £7500 (west country area). That said your quotes seem to be for 400W panels - do they exist, best I've seen is about 260W.
If you go for self install you won't get Feed in Tariffs because the panels need to be MCS qualified to sign the forms off.Adventure before Dementia!0 -

I would go for at least another 3 quotes. I got more than 5 for our system, at the time quotes varied hugely. Look for suppliers that have installed locally so you can go and have a look at the quality of their work. Talk to people who have had systems installed. The installation scene is or should be very competitive at the moment with the FIT having dropped so much. Go for the biggest system your roof & wallet will support because of the fixed installation costs involved (scaffolding etc). Have you got any shading across your desired installation position,, e.g. from trees, cables, poles, adjacent property? This can cause a major reduction in potential output.0
