Present for Groom

Hi Guys

I'm trying to think of a present to ask our best man to give to my hubby to be on the morning of the wedding. I was thinking of a watch but he isn't really a jewellery person - its been hard enough to convince him that he'll get used to wearing a wedding ring!

Now I'm thinking of putting together a hamper type thing with socks, boxers, aftershave etc and thought I might get him one of these..

I remember my dad having one similar when I was a kid and I used to love watching him shave with it. Plus I thought it would be something he could use every day and be reminded of our wedding day. What do you think? Is it a good idea or a bit naff?

I think that's a lovely idea! I've been trying to think of something too, so may pinch the hamper idea. The shaving set is lovely but I like H2Bs beard too much! (never thought I'd say that!)

Does he have a favourite football team, rugby player, golf player etc? There was a thread started on here a while back which was very popular. Basically you write to their fave club, player etc and ask for a signed letter wishing you both or your husband congratulations on your big day and frame it here is the thread if you want to have a look https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/2886126

I did it for my hubby and got a letter back from Sir Alex Ferguson at Man U congratulating us on our day, so i framed it and gave to him as a gift

Being a bloke, I'd have loved that as a wedding gift...I love shaving and all the bits and bobs associated with it. That said, I think all the people I know that like that kinda thing also like nice watches etc - but you know better than us if it's something your OH would like.

The wife got me a (very nice!) swiss watch, engraved, for our wedding day. I love it.
