Why pay inflated prices ? When they can make their own.

Seems as if even the mighty Siemens is passing train technology to the Chinese now. Even the Germans will lose their export markets one day.

Perhaps because they need a market for their goods and are hedging their bets against possible future US and European protectionism?

Chinese have been buying up commodity and raw material companies for decades. A different mentality to the West. Very long term.

More recently have switched to technology.

One would imagine to enjoy a lifestyle as we do in the West. The Chinese though don't sell the family silver when the price is high.

Huh?? The main reason china are doing so well is that they have a huge manforce that are willing to work for very low wages. As their pay increases they will get less competitive so I don't think they are going to be the massive economic superpower they all the experts are predicting. Once the west goes down the sh*thole who is going to buy their products insufficient quantity to make up for that loss? Brazil, Australia, China? I don't think so!

Thrug is the king of the obscure statement. I'm guessing that he either has mental issues or he does it to disguie the fact that he doesn't know what he's talking about. He goes all obscure when you start to question his initial posts in the hope that you give up unravelling his nonsense any further.

He'll be telling you he works in finance soon, in a desperate effort to buttress his argument. What he doesn't realise is that someone giving him an abacus to play with at the sanitarium doesn't qualify as 'working in finance'. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Well given how those incompetents 'working in finance' have brought this country to it's knees I would not be surprised if he was involved.

I worked for an Electronics company years ago and the only way to get your products into China was by the Chinese manufacturing themselves in their own country. Factory 632 or something like that is what it was called. They sent staff over to England for training.
When I visited China about 5 years ago they were investing heavily in technology schools.
I certainly think the Chinese have a better idea of what to do than our own leaders.
