Cleaning bath toys?

Hi all still new to this I wondered if anyone can help. I have three children who love to play with their bath toys but I have noticed that they have got a load of black gunk inside:confused: especially the squirty ones. I wondered if any of you lovely people had any ideas of how to clean them up? I always drain them after a bath and then again before I go to bed but they must stay damp inside. I have removed those that need cleaning once i relised but not sure what to clean them with.
Hope I haven't gone on too much, many thanks Mummyto3

Soak them in Milton overnight (making sure you fill the gunky ones full of the milton solution).

Will be fine by morning. If any black marks on the outside, scrub with a toothbrush after soaking - should slide straight off.

apart from the inside gunk (i'll be miltoning mine later :D ...........), i put mine in the dishwasher on the top shelf every so often. particularly helps the inside of the boats, which can get very gunky.

Thanks V Lucky, I didn't think there was anything you could do once they went gunky! Will be Miltoning ours later.

Thank you so much for posting this question!
I was looking at my daughter's bath toys yesterday morning and gave them a scrub on the outside with an old toothbrush but never imagined there would be a way to get rid of the gunk inside her rubber ducks!!
I will have to go and buy some Milton me thinks!
I'm so sorry if you were enjoying this thread and mine is the last post!!

    Hi,

Does anyone have any tips on how to clean bath toys?

My daughter has some Disney Princess bath toys and where the water gets in them they have gone a bit mouldy and gunky. I always try to empty as much water out as I can but their pale pink faces have turned a horrid shade of green from the gunk inside. Loathe to throw them out as my daughter loves them so much and I'd only have to spend money on another set. Such a shame as the outside of them are fine.

Is there anything I can do to salvage them?

    Thanks in advance.
