Becoming an Avon rep

Hi
I have an Avon sales leader telling me to become an Avon Rep. She will not tell me if there are any start up costs or anything like that, just keeps telling me to do it.
Is it a con? Has anyone here done it or doing it?
Thanks

Tell You ? They normally ask politely if you would like to join and if your interested give you starting details.
Heres the dedicated Avon Thread https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/3435527

Was it a door to door type situation?I had one call here and she was very persistent to the point I had to say no at least three times.
Not all are like that though...just the way you said she told you lol
I did it once years ago,was too restricting for me regarding streets given and the amount of people near me doing it but I am betting its not like that all over the country.
Good luck with it

Ive just given it up, its not good, unless you get enough orders to match your minimum order value you wont get any commission and minium order value is ridiculously high! you have to pay for your own brochues to hand out which usually costs about 7 pounds. its not worth it!!Debt free once - Back again | Current debt: £2479.50 - January 2025 | Make £2025 in 2025 #11 - £41/£20250

Well, I texted the woman earlier before I collected the items I ordered from her and she said it was fine.
I do not mind ordering, or getting them off ebay. But I would not want to become a rep because of start up costs etc.DEBTFREE AND PROUD!!0 -

All direct selling opportunities require start up costs. If your seeking that sort of work its something you have to budget for.0
