Fixed redemption fees question

Hi All
Last year, after my husband left me, I remorgaged my home and left my Nationwide mortgage and moved over to Northern Rock, in doing so I had to pay approximately £4500 in redemption fees (as it was a fixed mortgage)... shortly after struggling for a few more months I had to give up and sell and move into rented accomodation, but again I was hit with £5500 in redemption fees by Northern Rock... Is there anyway these can be reclaimed? Is there any hope that I will ever be able to get any of the money back? I have applied to both Nationwide and Northern Rock for repayments on the exit fees...and will keep you posted on their outcome... any help would be greatly appreciated...many thanks Fweckles

Sorry no chance what so ever.
The redemption charges are there to recoup the losses incurred by the lender due to not being with them long enough to profit from you.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
