Sorry if I am repeating a question that has already been asked...but...is there any rules and regulations that caterers has to abide by?
I am hearing too many horror stories from friends & family wedding days regarding the caterers!!!

    I'm not sure what you mean by rules, but at the very least I'd expect them to have a health and safety certificate! The venue I am using is National Trust: I am getting in my own caterer and they said if it's not one that has cooked there before, they need to come and visit and produce a public liability insurance certificate.

    Was that the kind of thing you meant?

    When we get catering vans to events at work they must have health and safety, fire and risk assessments and public liability insurance. They also complete a contract. Make sure you ask to see all these documents if you are concerned at all.
    May GC - £100 per week
