Third post, havent got anywhere as yet
I need a good digital camera that will show close up detail of clothing items as well as a good overall picture. Right now i have a basic samsung digimax 1.1 pixel that does brilliant close ups but blurry distant ones. And it never shows red and pink properly! I dont want to spend much as I wont be printing pics but I do need something that will handle different lighting and one that will show colours/details clearly.
So people, what am I looking for and where do I find it CHEAP?
thanks

As this is not ebay related i am moving it over to the i wanna board.
You will probably get more luck there.0 -
Hiya Divadee!!
The reason why I posted on the ebay forum is that there are probably lots of sellers who take photos to sell on ebay. I posted on the 'I wanna...' board before and didnt get much response. Could it be moved back if that's ok?0 -
The Best Camera for Ebay is Sony MAvica, Look on ebay and Buy the cheapest one you can find.
Plus they go straight on to floppy a must for Ebay Sellers:ASexy_fufu:A0 -
It's not actually available yet, but the HP Photosmart M22 might be a good choice; it's apparently going to retail for under £100.
Which makes the current price on dabs.com all the more odd... d'you think anyone is going to pay £999,999 for it?0 -
Thanks for your responses guys.... I was planning to go for either the Canon Powershot A75, A85 or A95............ what makes the mavica and hp ones stand out0

Yes I agree, this is how I decided to go for the Canon Powershot as you can see sample images of pics in indoor poor light. The A85 is £150 at the moment in Argos and I have some vouchers including nectar points to redeem to make it into a good buy. However, pixmania have it for similar price but with 2 year warranty so not sure at the moment... and now there's the hp and mavica to look into... ?0 -
To be brutally honest, I would not choose the HP at all; I only mentioned it because of the ridiculous price, which was probably a marketing gimmick. Anyway, the dabs.com link is dead now, so chances are you'll be reading about whether it's worth considering sometime soon.
The Mavica series appears to comprise several widely differing models, and apparently they do indeed take either floppy disks or Sony's own Memory Stick; and since the floppy is quickly going out of fashion, I'd say this camera was on its way out. The base model has only a 2 megapixel resolution, too.
I have however dug up a recent issue of PC Format (January 2005) which contains an article on digital photography, and lists a number of the best cameras currently available, including the Canon you've already mentioned.

i would recommend the Canon Ixus 40 4mp. Am on the look out myself and thinks this looks like a little beauty!!0
