    I haven't a clue on the mortgage, but I'd just like to say that £20 a week on food for one person is easily do'able...I'm on my own and I spend about £25-£30 a week for me and don't scrimp...I buy brand names and 'treat' myself to as many luxuries as I fancy. Could easily bring it down a fair amount.

    Still wouldn't fancy a mortgage on that salary though!! I'm on double that with a similar sized mortgage and have only just done it myself.
  • i earn £15,500, have a deposit of £3,000 and have been accepted by leeds for 2 bed house valued at £54,000 . your larger deposit would definately get you a mortgage
