  • I hate to be a show off folks BUT CHECK OUT MY SIGNATURE!! I'm in the 10's :j:j:j:j:j. So excited and happy.

SBO I really really need to get work done in the house before overpaying but yes I will be doing it ASAP. I ihave a securedloan so it will be tackled first and then mortgage. Here is my priority list as it stands :D ( and it excites me muchly)
    1. central heating
    2. guttering
    3. bathroom
    4. kitchen
    5. both gardens landscaped
Asyou know I have no heating upstairs in the property so I need that ASAP. I have to get this prior to everything else as floors etc need to come up when it gets fitted. I am also going to get my boiler removed and I will knock through into that cupboard to extend my bathroom.
My guttering and fascias are a mess and DD wants to paint the house when she has some more experience so I want them done and hopefully they will last for years and years.
My bathroom was tiled by me a number of years ago and it is a DIY disaster :rotfl:. I was chuffed with it at the time but  it's awful. I want a very modern bathroom with shint tiled floors and a lovely free staning bath with lights built into the floor around it. I have an alcove in it and I will be getting a separate shower in there. I will get the loo and wash hand basin fitted in and it will be totally lush.

My kitchen is quite big. I want a range cooker ( a dream of mine) and high gloss units with wooden worsurfaces. I will have either white or cream as I am a bright coloured person and just wouldn't like datk wood or anything like that. I am swithering over an island and I want new appliances as mine are getting really past it. I would love an American style fridge but I will see how it goes.

I need new fencing in my front garden. My fence is rot iron and is about 40 years old. I want rid of it as it is rusty and bits have fallen off of it. It is a small garden and on a slope so I would like it pretty much levelled off and with gravel and some pots. I dont like gardening and find it a real chore so this would be best for me. I then want my rear garden levelled with decking at the rear and the rest paved and gravelled. I do want pots and barrels etc as I like messing about on a very samll scale and pots etcwould be manageable for me. I would like a wee water feature and a [STRIKE]jaccuzi [/STRIKE]:rotfl:ok I jest now. So as you can see I have a fair few pounds to be spent but I am 100% going to do it as I am fed up with making do. We deserve better :D. I reckon about £20k will get me everything but I will do it in stages. I'm hoping for heating and guttering next year and then onto the nice things :D.

I wentawander to B&M's today and I should just stay away from that shop as I love it. We have only recently had one open up here and it is an achilles heel for me. I bought 86 jams ( individual ones for my charity day) I bought 3 shoe boxes for DD and a brolly for me. I bought a mirrored sticker for my bathroom as well and some snacks for in here. Only £11 all in and I got £5 back from work for the jam.

So as you can see I have plans aplenty and I reckon it will take me about 3 years to get it all done and dusted. I am 50 in 2015 and it would be great if I could be well on my way by then but I doubt it. I will have a bloody good go at it though :D. Then I will overpay like crazy so I can part time retire when I am 60 with no debt, no mortgage and a nice lump sum and part pension. I do not want to have to continue working full time until I am 67 :eek::eek::eek:. What about you? Will you overpay?

Your story with DS made me absolutely howl :rotfl::rotfl:Reminds me of that TV ad where the mum throws her self on the floor in the supermarket.

Your plans sound fabulous!!! It is so motivating to hear you planning. I also have been eagerly saving for a new kitchen, high gloss with glittery tops and glittery floors....i like bling :o hehe

BUT and there is a big BUT coming, i have quit my job, it was making me ill so I am off to work with DS in his business for a little while, fingers crossed we can make enough for 2 and then i wont have to use my savings which i have sacrificed so much for over the last two years!!

SBO - Modern day icon ? Me ? PMSL :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Not sure if I mentioned but I am having a huge charity day in my work to raise funds for the hospice my mum was in. It's on 28th of this month and when I had the oven on earlier I made 25 fairy cakes for the freezer. I willmake batches each time I have the oven on over thenext 10 days and will have a good few by then. I was given £30 by my socail club in work to help with the costs so that should cover most of it. I have been on Face Book and in my work pleading for prizes as I am having a tombola too. I have a box of wine from Christmas that is unopened and I will make up a food hamper as my donations to the tombola. I am so excited at getting the chance to raise funds for them as they need £40k per week to stay opened .

I made slimming world burgers for dinner tonight and DS and I loved them. They were fabulous. Meant to use extra lean beef but th eonly place you can get it is in M&S and it is £5 per pack. I just cannot bring myself to pay that price. I also went to asda and spent £109 . Bought DS a jumper ut the rest was food :o. Ot should hopefully last a couple of weeks. Well it will have to tbh.

DD is house sitting for my friend this weekend and her BF has gone with her. I am sure they will be in seperate rooms ( hmmmm) . She wanted to cook steaks and I gave her a quick talk through on way to work this morning on how to cook them I forgot to tell her what kind to buy though and got a frantic call from her when she was in buying them. She nearly bought braising steak :rotfl:. I think I better start with the cookery lessons ASAP. I ama pretty good cook so I will try and make sure she is ale to make a nice meal prior to getting a house.

Going to take DS to pics tomorrow night to see diehard. Ilove getting oneon one time with the kids. So nice when they aren;t fighting ;). We'll have anice wee night together.

Cleaning job tomorrow but have spent themoney already paying off the CC.

So I hope everyone is well and laters folks xx
