Argos Delivery

Hello

Who delivers items for Argos over here? I have an item coming tomorrow which needs signed for but I am not able to be there (hosp appointment) when Argos say it will be delivered, between 7am and 12.

If I could contact the delivery driver I might be able to arrange someone to be there to collect or for delivery to be in the afternoon.

Any ideas who to contact?

Yodel deliver for Argos here, I got some furniture recently and have to say they where rather good, which is a shock for Yodel:o

The driver even phoned me 30 minutes before he was due to check I was in.

You could try contacting them and have a later time arranged.

Have contacted Yodel and it is not them. They have no record of the delivery planned for tomorrow.

Any other ideas?

Is there anywhere safe at the back of your house where the item can be left? I was in a similar situation and when the driver phoned to confirm a delivery time I told him I wouldn't be in so I told him where to leave it, he phoned Argos who phoned me to confirm I was happy to have it left there at my own risk, I agreed and wasn't a problem.... Only do this if you are sure it's a safe place and you're happy to take the risk.

Yodel delivered my Argos order too. Think the same group that own Argos own Yodel, would explain why the service from Yodel is good for a change. I got a phone call to.

its a smallish flat pack furniture that needs signed for.

I have phoned the Yodel office in Carrick and they have no record of this postcode for delivery for tomorrow.

Argos furniture tends not to come in the typical Yodel green van, mine came in a larger lorry with no markings on it and with 2 delivery men who carry the furniture in for you. But they both had Yodel on their polo shirts. Try phoning Yodel and explaining it will probably come in the furniture lorry rather than a van, they may have a separate system for that ?

Alternatively phone Argos customer services and get the delivery re arranged.

If you have a neighbour willing to sign for it why not put a note on your window/door asking the delivery driver to deliver it there.

I had Yodel arrive today, but as I was at work I left a note asking him kindly to deliver to another address nearby - Job done.

Isn't it like an invitation for potential burglers to burgle your house? Comeon it, no one's in!

No burglers down my neck of the woods , and sure they will all be sleeping through the day anyway.
