recycle everything for free

There is a new website called recycle.co.uk (as featured in gadget show)
The way it works is that you list anything that you want to give away, and can also list anything that you want (within reason of course) for free.
No money is allowed to change hands, what a brilliant idea, all you have to do is register with them, and that is also free

https://www.freecycle.org seems to be the most popular as it is at a very local level but good find though i think i'll try them out0

I love this site. I do not have much money at the best of time to spend and I am finding e-bay less and less of a bargin so after reading about freecycle I thought I would give it a try. So far I have got a 3 piece Bath, tolet, and sink in white to replace my maroon and dated bathroom. Tuesday I am picking up a loft bed for my son and tomorrow I am Swapping my other sons car bed for a mid sleeper. Its like a bug its great to help people with what you do not need and at the same time get what you want:money:

It's not that new a site actually but it certainly is gaining popularity.
Each town or a town near you will have its own Freecycle group.
It's really handy to let others have what you don't need especially if it is too good to junk.
My inbox has so many freecyclers with their items that I need to go in each day to clear/check them out. It's good.** Freebies and money saved with the help of you all? - Don't know ....lost count! **** Stay Safe **0 -
stop plugging your own site starbuck please!!!0

Starbuck please see the rules, you not allowed to advertise.
ADVERTISING
This site is free from advertising. Posts on any board considered to be advertising goods, services and/or companies will be removed. We also do not allow advertising via PM
Examples of this can include anything from a specific sales post or a link to your own website in which you attempt to sell something to someone offering their holiday home to forum members. Unfortunately we cannot allow any advertising of any description no matter how honourable the intention.
This includes the Referrals Board (see below).
If you think you have a genuinely good deal please contact a Board Guide for the board you’d like to post it on. If they agree with you they’ll contact the MSE Team and it will be considered. Any final decision will be that of the MSE Team. Please do not question the response with the Board Guide.0 -
Where is the harm when it's exactly the same sort of site as freecycle or the other one this post is about?! When it's something like this how is it any different to someone else posting a link about it?
Please check out this new site I've come accross. It's similar to freecycle and the one advertised on the gadget show: https://www.free2collect.co.ukStarbuck please see the rules, you not allowed to advertise.

You highlighted the you're not allowed to post a link to your own website part of the rules, but not the rest of it, the in which you attempt to sell something. Starbuck isn't attempting to sell anything to anyone on his website.0 -
I agree with Pinginal!
The last time I posted a comment in this forum it was implied that I have a connection with the free2collect site. I don't! I just don't see the harm in people promoting these sites, all of which are really useful in assisting members of the public in saving money -surely the whole point of MSE.
Why people get cross with those who plug these sites which, fundamentally, are there to assist others, is beyond me!
Besides, aren't rules made to be broken???0 -
