Life changing advice/suggestions required

I am 24 old married woman and my husband is 30. my husaband works and lives in Cardiff. Now i am planning to move to cardiiff by may 1st.
At the moment our current debts are
£3500- HSBC credit card.-1.9% interst till Aug 2007
£8000 loand from MBNA , paying off 360 per month from Nov 2006.
£1200 on other cards which will be paid off very soon in the next month.

My husband earns £23500 pa and myself £23400pa.

At the moment we are looking for a house to rent in cardiff and planning to buy a place in 6 months, clear the cards in next 3 months by saving and save fro the house deposit around 4-6K by end of Nov. and the loan will be outstanding . my thoughts at the moment are we could throw app 2000 per month from May towards our debts.

my other thought is there any possibility that we could get a mortgage and start looking for a house to buy now?

I am very confused thinking of the move and could you all suggest me what u will do in my situation.
