i know. i am using the same broker for next house purchase, suppose thats the only reason he is updating me.
i would rather santander just say No to them at this stage. is there any other lender that would consider the Nannys wage?0 -
Oh yes - Santander were a former giant of flexible lending, however clearly they took this a bit far and are now the opposite.
These Estate Agent brokers (argh....!) this is not the done thing and is a clear conflict of interests, would not surprise me at some point if you get a new buyer as they cannot place this one.
Yes they will get a mortgage (subject to other variables) but not likely to be with HSBC, First Direct, Nationwide or Accord or quite likely Santander!
Would have a quiet word with the broker - genuinely wish you some luck as they may well back it and no cause for worry..I am a Mortgage Broker

How can this be evidenced….
Why is your mortgage advisor informing you of their personal situation?0 -
I don’t know why he is informing me…. I don’t really care to be honest because it benefits me to know this.0

Santander were amazing for us, online phone application took 2 hours, sent the 3 months wage slips for me and my partner and received a mortgage offer a week later0

Update - Santander have now asked for one of the buyers P60 - what could they be looking for with this ? do they allow gaps in employment etc0

i have to agree with lee_ws post, santander have been fantastic for me,renewed when my deal finished, best deal i could find.

Your buyers (intimate) personal financial situation is none of you business whatsoever. Your only concern, and your solicitor / EAs concern is whether they can exchange and complete.
I would suggest you make a decision now on whether YOU want to proceed. You are very well informed to date of the buyers progress given that your broker has broken all the rules of data disclosure.
You need to stop accepting the information and make a decision, and the broker needs a rap on the knuckles.2012 Wins: 1 x Case of Lanson Champagne :beer:0
