Pernsion Office. How long for a reply?

Is it the same as HMRC.You wait the estimated 8 weeks, phone, only to be told they haven't received any post? Try again!!
Without going into the whole saga, when my State Pension was due I asked for the normal quote and was sent a computer read-out with several errors.Pointed this out ,was sent another one with 6 differnt entries,on quering this after numerous phone calls, I was told "Oh, there quite often wrong"!! Then told I'd missed 2 years in the early80's. As they were paid by Direct Debit. Queried it again, then told ,"Paid by cash but too late to be credited, therefore deducting 4% off your payments. This was for 42years by the way.Bank unable to give any records back that far so ,Tough. As the yearly requirement is now only 30years I wonder if anyone else has been in a similar position and had any joy.4% isn't much but it's still 4%.I'm still waiting for a reply.
