selling my endowment

have had an offer from a broker I found on the web, who has a client offering me 400 over the surrender value, which is great, but now that they have asked for all the paperwork I question how sensible it is to send this off when I know nothing of this company (Endowment express surrend link) am I being over cautious? How do you check out these companies?
