The lady on the phone at the csa said to me that because he was on the birth certificate they would just go ahead with the claim so i literally have no idea what is happening....I will call them tomorrow from work :(

Thanks again everyone for your advise, I am pretty fed up with the whole thing now.

Don't worry, the onus is on him to dispute and make sure the CSA send the paperwork etc. If he bothers not to do it, they will assume. Although from what you have said it does just sound like a delaying tactic. When it turns out the kids are his, he will just have arrears and a bill for the DNA test.

I think it was pretty low to text your daughter and say what he said. Doesn't seem fair to drag them into a dispute, even more say when it just sounds like a delaying tactic. Hopefully she will make her own judgement.

Don't give up even though you are fed up. If men (& women) don't want to pay for the kids they choose to have, maybe they should keep it in their trousers.

There is a lot of support on here.

    Hope you get it sorted.
I'm never offended by debate & opinions. As a wise man called Voltaire once said, "I disagree with what you say, but will defend until death your right to say it."

If he is named on the birth certificate CSA can now presume paternity and assessment will go ahead.

If he can later prove that he isn't the father then he would be able to get the money paid out refunded

Thanks for taking the time to reply...I have no doubt that he is the father of my children...I lived for many years scared of him and only now seven years after I have moved to the other end of the country have I had the courage to finally ask for money to raise his children after many years of doing it alone with no help.

To put it in prospective I owned a flat in London that i left overnight and rented after borrowing money, we have since lived on that money from a quick sale so obviously reduced...I was desperate... and a small inheritance. He has carried on living the life, going out clubbing and generally thinking he is Peter Stringfellow and paying for IVF with his wife (she was having an affair with him whilst i was with him) Now he is denying he is the childrens father to get out of paying shocking!!
