Equifax & errors on credit report

Hi all,

I hope this is the right place to post (if not, I'd appreciate a nod in the right direction)

To just give a bit of background - I discovered in January (after being refused credit) that I had a CCJ on my credit file. Subsequent investigations led me to Severn Trent. Turns out they had been billing me to my old address about sewerage services for my new address (moved 3yrs ago). Not water charges, as was paying this, so didnt suspect anything was wrong. After ranting at ST, paperwork was sent to court and CCJ was removed completely from credit file on Experian.

I thought that was it, all dealt with.

I applied for a mortgage 2wks ago, and got declined

Turns out Nat West use Equifax to credit check. Have since got credit report from Equifax and CCJ is still on there!!

I have sent a request to Equifax to update their records and get the CCJ removed, as I did not tell Experian to remove CCJ, they were notified by Registry Trust, so Equifax have access to the same information.

Does anyone know how long it takes to get response out of Equifax, as my mortgage application is currently in limbo until I can prove that my credit file is clear.

Many Thanks

Should take around max 2 months to clear. It should be less but I have seen more to update. If you are unhappy call Equifax and push them alone
