Yea I hope so, but not knowing is starting to worry me, especially due to the obvious reasons for going to GE...0

True, i dont think anyone goes to GE by choice (more like lack of) but they will ask for what they need. I wouldnt worry it just might take a little longer than you would like. so long as you have nothing to hide you should be alright.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. That's really good, shame it's not the case for when I put my app in. I have heard that on Friday they were dealing with cases submitted on the 28th April. So by Tuesday or Wednesday they will have got to mine as it was sent in on the 2nd of May. Then they will probably ask for a load more information after they have finally looked at it!
Joy!
Let me know how you get on once submitted and I will keep you all update too!0 -
Hi all,
I also have an application that is being processed (via a packager) by GE.
Noticed last night that the money for the valuation fee (£549) has come out of my bank. Does this mean that my application has been successful?
Thanks!0 -
No, it means the valuation has been booked.
The packager would have done the initial underwriting before passing it over but GE still have to underwrite it themselves.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. Thanks ACG..
In your experience, how long do you think it will be before we have a firm offer?0 -
The valuation has to be done, then they will pass it over, so if it's another week until valuation, then it could be another 3 weeks all in all.0
