Thanks for responses, not been on computer for few days as sick of the blinkin things on a work basis!
AbbieCadabra I worked out a little later that this price was for a re-conditioned version so that would explain the price discrepancy.
I'm going to hold off for a while as I've been trying, to good effect, a colleague's recommendation to us a tennis ball sandwiched between the "achey" part & the wall... Don't laugh! It's really quite good! Maybe see whether the Birthday Fairy, or Sants, brings any "special pennies" I could put towards a swanky electric HoMedics type thingy.
Thanks again for the responses & I'm glad some good seemed to come from my post. Well done on getting a refund on your "conked out" massager! What a result! x0
