When do they book flights for holiday wins?

If anyone has won a holiday comp, could they tell me when the promotor booked your flights/confirmed details etc?


We have provided our passport details, signed agreements, done our ESTAs etc.

I'm starting to worry that it won't all come off . Is it normal for them to have not booked the flights yet? Do the promotors book people at the last minute, in case of any changes?

I won a holiday to Canada 2 years ago and they booked the flights within a few days of me supplying them with my desired date of travel. I don't know whether this is the norm or not. Perhaps other MSE users will be able to enlighten you more. Good luck

I've been lucky to win a couple of holidays. With my trip to Australia, I won in July but my flights were not booked until a couple of weeks before I was due to travel in November. However, my flights to Verona were booked within a week of claiming my win. I think it depends on the prize organiser to be honest.

I won a cruise for end of March this year, I was told in December but my flights were booked in January, I understand how you feel, you just want it all sorted so you can relax and look forward to it, have you got your hotel booked and have they given you the details?

Dont worry about it - I won a holiday to LA with performance entertainment and everything was booked last minute x

I've been very fortunate too & won a couple of holidays. The first one was more or less booked & confirmed within a week. However, the second one I won on 6 Feb, but due to a mix up it wasn't confirmed until 29 February. My flight tickets should arrive within 2 weeks of me taking my holiday, so they tell me.

I won a trip to Egypt and im going in November. My flights where booked yesterday

I think everyone is different, I've won two holidays, one to LA where the promotion agency handled everything and one to Rome where they booked the hotel and I received a voucher in the post a few weeks later to redeem for our flights....enjoy the holiday
