I went to a friends wedding, beautiful castle, stunning dress, fabulous food, amazing 2 week honeymoon, in comparison to my 'do' a few months earlier it was very grand and I was jealous!!!! I started thinking about how I could fund an anniversary weekend to make up for it ..talking at work later found out that it was all on credit cards, took a long hard look and realised that I'd been planning to do the same. It is so not worth it!!!Go hopefully into each new day, enjoy something from every day no matter how small, you never know when it will be your last0

When I went to draw a tenner out of the cashpoint the other day - thinking I had loads of my £5k overdraft still available- only to be greeted with the words that strike terror into everyone's heart, "Insufficient Funds, please contact your Bank"!0

Mine came when we got back from our honeymoon in 2010. I had been servicing the debts and shuffling them around for years. I suddenly realized that I had graduated 4 years ago and not paid a penny off my student overdraft. Also hubby got in quite a bit of financial troubl. I totted up what I owed and it was just over 10k.
Swore I would be debt free by 30. Current projections are that I will make it 4 months before thenLBM 11/06/2010: DFD 30/04/2013Total repaid: £10,490.310 -
Put on short time at work few years back, had quite a few debts, i had low income, my car blew its engine, just a bad time for me. Had to buy a £300 car off ebay to keep me going.
Been tough. Down to my last £550 now though. I no longer take money for granted. Good times ahead.DFD: 21st June 20120 -
