Hi to everyone up in Scotland :)

We're heading to the Cairngorms on Saturday for a week (travelling from the south of England). I've been watching the Met Office forecast for Aviemore and also the East Highlands mountain forecast.

We had planned on doing some hill walking but the forecasts are suggesting that the mountains are still pretty snow-covered. Anyone been out on the hills recently? We've got all the proper gear but I'm not sure-footed enough for hiking in full on snow and ice. :rotfl:

We had wonderful weather on Skye and the Highlands in June 2010 and then again on the Orkney Islands in June last year, so we are overdue a less good holiday. :D

I'm pretty sure there is a fresh snowfall forecast for tomorrow. Also, whilst I wasn't up in the hills, I did pass that way last weekend and could see a fair bit of snow still there.
