It is certainly cheap, however with a resistive screen it isn't great. I would rather spend a bit more and get one with a capacitive screen, they are *so* much better.

I'm interested in getting a cheap table, but obviously want the best spec for the least cost! I'm pretty sure I wouldn't go for a resistive screen though, so any other suggestions for most reasonable tablet with capacitive screen would be greatly appreciated.

Is this any better. I quite fancy one myself but I am awaiting opinions?

The Cyclone Astro is also fitted with a fully functional capacitive touch screen, supporting multi touch control.
    Nice to save.

What's the point of a tablet? (Genuine question, I don't mean to take the pi**)
As far as I can see they are like a big i/android phone that you can't make calls on, crossed with a netbook with no keyboard?

I find mine useful for car for kids and browsing on settee. They would be more useful if they had 3g in them some do but the more expensive variety. I have the Motorola Xoom dual core and its brilliant but a lot more @ £250

Its also useful as a sat nav big 10.1" screen and you can get free satnav software and has built in gps.

Depends on what you are using it for ... if you are a microsoft office power user or running high power apps on it ... possibly not your thing, but if all you want to do is a surfing, some emails, downloading videos and video calls etc ... whats the advantage of a key board and mouse and all the baggage that comes with it ?

.... Thats how I justify it to myself anyway

Easier to carry around for basic computer uses & a much bigger & easier to view screen than a phone. Does most of what you want if you have to fly light. I'm sure there are many other reasons. All three (Laptop, ipad etc, phone) have their uses & one or more, of the three will suit some people better than the others.
    Nice to save.
