Hi,
I have a thread on here already, which I cannot find.
Basically my situation is as such, around 10 debts which I believe to be statute barred, and one recent debt which obviously is not.
The recent debt is with a certain DCA which also holds a few of my old debts.
I contacted, via letter, said DCA offering a payment plan which they have accepted. All ok. I recieved their letter of approval regarding payment plan, along with 3 other letters, each letter regarding a different debt. Saying the usual, have to pay such and such amount or we can come up with payment plan.
Like I said these 3 debts 'should' be statute barred. One is a HSBC student overdraft, One a Lloyds student overdraft and the other is a credit card.
I am planning on sending them 3 seperate letters, the templates on here, stating that the debts are statute barred.
My question is this... What happens if I have mis judged the dates and I have happened to contact them offering to repay, within the last six years.????
Also do student overdrafts still count under the the statute barred law? The same as credit cards, store cards etc?
How do I sit with this company , having acknowledged one debt but not the others?
Thanks in advance.

do a credit check via experian or the other credit score aganecies and see what debts are still alive from the last 6 years, that way you will be sure of the dates!0
