Paid to do online surveys

Has anyone had any success with this? Seems too good to be true?

  • Started doing this a while ago, though gave up as you need to do TONNES a day and earn alot of commission before they even pay out. Get in early as the better paid ones are hard to find.

    Hi,

I have been taking part in online surveys and product testing for over three years now. I have registered and taken part in the majority of survey websites around and have found that the majority of them provide false advertising.

Don't expect to make a fortunate from doing online surveys because quite frankly you won't or everyone would be doing them. But what you can expect is to earn some extra pocket money consistently.

From my experience I would definitely recommend the following surveys websites:

https://www.panelopinion.co.uk - this is my favourite survey website, it is simple but effective and I have won a lot of CASH on here...You can withdraw your money when you get to £10 and it doesn't take that long to build up a good amount.

https://www.valuedopinions.co.uk - this website is good because they frequently have new surveys, which means you can qualify for them more often.

http://labs.yougov.co.uk/ - Fun and interesting surveys, quite frequent as well

https://www.surveyfriends.co.uk - this website rewards you with vouchers and prizes, which seem VERY easy to win lol. During 2012 I have already won a £50 amazon voucher and a £10 ticketmaster voucher and my friend won a 40" HD TV just before xmas. I am recommending this website based on our recent and previous success

    (also recommend IPOS and Lightspeed)

I have joined numerous other survey sites but have had the most success with the ones above, especially panelopinion!

Remember: Never pay to join any survey site - its often a scam

Hope this has been of some help, Good Luck :):D:)
 2014: £20 voucher from SurveyFriends, £10 cash payout from Panel Opinion too and working towards more from Valued Opinions currently.
2013: £35 and £50 vouchers from SurveyFriends! More than £15 made from other paid surveys sites (Yougov, Panel Opinion, Valued Opinions, Pinecone, etc.) Happy so far!

I'm sure you have that post on a copy and paste file somewhere Marteebies

You need to change it though as Lightspeed does not exist anymore.

Panel Opinion is rubbish, you have to sign people up to it "JUST" to be able to get survey invites, no sign ups = no invites to surveys

If you do a search there's a whole thread on here somewhere about which survey sites are the best.
You won't get rich, (and if you work out the hourly rate it's probably about 10p an hour!) but I do them because I can sit with my laptop at night while I'm watching tv, and those that don't pay cash (most don't) pay in amazon or other vouchers which I can put towards my Christmas shopping. I reckon I make a couple of hundred quid a year, give or take. But it can take a lot of time to get there, and you do get screened out of a fair few without being paid, so you have to decide if the time spent is worth it for you or whether you'd rather be doing other things.
Edit - lightspeed in now called mysurvey, and the best paid one if you can get on is pinecone - £3 a survey, but I only average one survey a month from them.
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

I've found Superpoints to be quite lucrative, for the five minutes or so daily time investment I'm getting close to £1 daily out of it now so it's better than the minimum wage ;)

The key with these things is to be DISCIPLINED! You need to sign up and make yourself spend time doing them regularly, think of something you'd like to save up for and target that.

With Superpoints it's going to be spending money for my holiday in October, see if it's enough for a few meals out, or just a McDonalds! Another good idea is to save the money from this type of thing for Christmas.

These things are never going to pay the bills but they are good for getting extra little treats for yourself.

Aye, they are legitimate, but they are not too good to be true.

You have to do a lot of surveys to get anything. Often you won't qualify for surveys too. On some sites the surveys can be few and far between, so it pays to join multiple sites, and fill out for profile to maximize your invitations.

Ones i have eperience with are:

https://www.crowdology.co.uk - well established, backed by a large research company

https://www.honestrewards.co.uk - visit their facebook page, lots of complaints. I think they got a bit to big.

https://www.fruitfulthoughts.co.uk - seems relatively new, uses the same system as crowdology.

Some sites give vouchers or prizes, other pay via Paypal. Earnings are pretty much the same per survey, but some have a higher withdrawal threshold than others. Best bet is to try a couple and see how you get

I find Vivatic is quite good. My voice is a good one as well and I do like Onepoll. There are loads and loads of survey sites and I've earned a steady but small income from them for several years.

I have been selected to do a mystery shop for house insurance via valued opinions. The company is called Ragdoll. Has anyone heard of them. Are they a mystery shopping company. I tried to google ragdoll but couldn't find anything. If I do a one off job like this do I have to be self employed. I regularly get a pound or two from doing questionaires , does this need to be declared. Thanks

The way these things work can be complicated.

No doubt there is a research agency that has been approached or has a client that wants to do some mystery shopping among other things.

They will then contract out the mystery shopping bit, because that's not what research agencies do, to another company, probably one that also handles field work and/or telephone interviews. Now that company that the mystery shopping has been contract out to, might then require more resources to do the job, hence where you come in.

    Most likely it's legit.
