not sure if i am on the right board but i am after some advice. I bought a kettle from asda at Christmas and i cannot find the receipt.I asked an asda colleague if i could return it and she said if it was an asda branded one then utterly wouldn't be a problem......the lid pops open when its boiling and spews hot water out but then won't open when its cold. Sometimes it boils sometimesit doesnt.
Took it in this morning and because ihad no receipt they wouldn't exchange it.
Is there anything i can do?

Assuming it is an Asda branded one, take it back in, inform them it is not of merchantable quality and ask them what they are going to do about it.0

If you paid for it using your card, you can use that for proof of purchase.:A:dance:1+1+1=1:dance::A

If you paid for it as a single item on a card, that would do as proof of purchase, it it was in among your shopping then you have no proof of purchase.
If it was an Asda brand, take it back and see a supervisor, be nice, your more likely to get it exchanged out of good will then.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0
