Love mine.
Yes chips either soaked for 30 min and then dried and fried with a cap full of oil or par boiled and fried once again with a cap full of oil. You can do roast potatoes in the same way. I've used flavored salt in the oil and flavored oil. I've added chunks. of onions to tiny roast potatoes.
If you start them off low at 160 and the turn up to 200 at the end for extra crunch.
Throw in a slice of bread - no oil, for a extra crispy slice of "fried" bread to top with grilled tomatoes or mushrooms. Or cut it into cubes for quick croutons.
When your roast potatoes come out, as you are serving, toss in some frozen yorkies, almost ready in an instant.
Though I have found it hates high fat things like frozen onion rings ( start them on a lower heat 160 then to 200 at the end ).
It does say in the instructions not to do sausages.C.R.A.P.R.O.L.L.Z Able Archer0 -
