Declaring future job change in mortgage app

Hey all, after a little advice.

I have just applied to port my mortgage with Natwest and applied for additional borrowing on top to make up the total cost of the house. Current situation with a bit of rounding is as follows:

Have 169k left on current mortgage. Buying for 270,000, have 54,000 deposit and applying for additional 47,000 to make up the difference: 80% LTV. New mortgage amount in total is £216,000.

I have a gross salary of £42k and my partner £31k with no debts, loans or dependants.

However, the reason we are moving is due to a new job for my partner (she’s a teacher), and moving to part time. Her new salary would be circa £18-£22k. I have not disclosed this on the application form as questions were about current employment, and she will still (almost certainly) be in her current employment at the time of completion.

Exam question: Should I be disclosing this information upfront even though they haven’t asked?

Thanks in advance! :)

Wowser, you guys must be LOADED!

Let me ask you this: Have they asked you to declare it? If not, then surely there's no obligation to? But you could tell them anyway just to be on the safe side. Remember, mortgages typically last for 25 years or so, and eventually people's circumstances will surely change... in your case, very soon after getting the money LOL
