I am absolutely certain that one of you lovely peeps will know how to solve this problem.:j
I have had some baking tins stored in a box in the garage since we moved a couple of months ago. I unpacked them today and they have all gone rusty.
Can I save them - and how please!! I have tried giving them a good scrub with one of those green squares of rough stuff (don't know the name:o) but it doesn't really shift the rust.
Many thanks
Lilli

You could maybe try wiping them with a cloth with olive oil on?0

If they don't have a non stick surface then give them a good scrub with a metal scourer until all the rust is removed. Dry them in a cool/warm oven so that there is no moisture left and oil them lightly before putting them away.
These threads have more advice:
rusty baking trays, bread tins etc
do you wash your bakeware
I'll add your thread to the first link once you've had more replies to keep the suggestions together.

I've got rid of most of my metal baking stuff and am gradually replacing with silicon stuff. Only thing I've replaced in metal has been a baking sheet, it's Tefal Airware (I think) and it's absolutely brilliant, nothing sticks to it and it's just wipe clean.
