Hi,
I have a gammon knuckle and not sure what to do with it. I wondered if I could use it to make pulled pork? The recipe I would follow uses a hand of pork and I wondered if the knuckle would so instead (Fabulous Baker Brothers)?
If not can anyone else suggest a recipe? Pea and ham soup is out of the question, I used a ham hock to make split pea soup last year and my husband has refused to eat it.
Any suggestions welcome.

Hi jojo,
I may be completely wrong, but is gammon knuckle not the same thing as ham hock?

I would reckon so, and as such, wouldn't be much good for pulled pork, as it is cured. I like to sometimes roast the knuckle/hock, or just boil it, and have the ham with mash, mustard sauce and veggies. Then use the stock for leek and potato soup. mmm yummy0 -
Morrisons do pork hocks, which make lovely pulled pork or pork casserole so long as you take the rind off firstIt matters not if you try and fail, and fail and try again; But it matters much if you try and fail, and fail to try again.
