Quality foods in Belfast City Centre (excluding ST George's market)

Ok I am very annoyed at the lack of quality staple foods in Belfast City Centre.
Does anyone know where I can buy some organic non processed turkey slices for example. I went to the butchers on Bridge Street and they just sell heavily processed turkey slices with god knows what in them.
Another thing I have been searching for is Radicchio lettuce, I have looked in both the green grocers in Bridge Street and Castle Street and they dont have it.
The reason I am excluding ST Georges market is that Fridays are not convenient for me to do my shopping.
And I avoid sawyers like the pleague its a dear place to buy stuff.
If anyone can even give me a good quality butcher, even if theres one on the Lisburn road I will travel there no problem.

Best butcher I know in Belfast is Coffey on the Belmont Road, off the Newtownards Road. http://www.118.com/biz/1592814.mvc/belfast-butchers-j-coffey
Have you tried M&S for the turkey and fresh produce? There's a foodhall in Donegal Place and one on the Boucher Road. They also have one on the Newtownards Road so maybe you could tie the two visits into one?
I'm not from town btw, I'm further out so someone else with more recent shopping knowledge in town might have a different suggestion.0 -
I dont believe there are any other food places in the city centre other than what you have mentioned. Avoca in Arthur St have some sort of deli going on but couldnt guarantee they have what you are looking for.
On the whole I think Belfast City Centre is poor for this sort of thing as well as decent restaurants and cafes which are also lacking.0 -
What about Sawyers?...I know they do deli stuff as well as meats & cheeses. Can be a bit pricey tho but you gets what you pays for......

Ok this is not looking good
. Can someone please name me the best quality butcher in the whole of Belfast? I am willing to travel quite far in order to find one that suits my needs.

I'm a vege, so I don't know if Arcadia do a wide selection of meats,
However they would be the first people I'd pick up the phone to with question about quality foods in Belfast, they are knowledgeable and passionate about food
They are on the Lisburn road
Their shop is simply fantastic, although I never leave without quite a bit of damage on the credit card0 -
Whereabouts on the Lisburn Road is Arcadia? I've never come across it but would now like to find it.0

Click the map link for location of Coffeys,I've used it before a long time ago & the meats I bought was good,Iirc they also have a deli there.

Thanks for that info spike.
I dont suppose anyone can keep a look out for some Radicchio lettuce. If you come across any please tell me where you found it. I am willing to travel quite far to get my hands on some. BTW I mean Radicchio lettuce on its own not the mixed leaves you can get which contain tiny pieces of radicchio in them.0 -
Sorry to detract from the Radicchio lettuce search but does anyone know where I can buy popping corn in Belfast. Not the microwave bag stuff, but the normal corn. Thanks.
Edit: Just found it online on Tesco's website.0
