Does anyone have experience of permission to let a mortgaged property from the Halifax? Are they accommodating/helpful? What about if there has been arrears within the last 12 months on the account?

Are you considering letting without permission?0

No not at all, but interested on the process of getting permission. Do you have advice?0

Consent to let is granted on a case by case basis.
So the reason you incurred mortgage arrears may well influence any decision.
Letting a property does not give a guaranteed positive return.0 -

Halifax are increasing rates on consent to let if you are on the variable and the rates are unattractive..
