Price Drop After Purchase

I bought what seemed like a bargain Sony Hi Fi, now almost two weeks later it is on sale for £43 less than I paid from the same company on Amazon. I accept prices change but that is a lot to take, I have 14 days to return it, which is up tomorrow, so I have emailed them saying that is what I intend to do, then order it at the lower price. I have asked them if they will drop the price. Anyone had anything similar happen and what was the outcome.
Thanks.

Did something similar a few years back at Asda with a DVD player.

Bought the player and they reduced the price two days later. I returned to the shop and asked if they'd refund the difference to which they said 'No!'.

So, I simply asked for a refund under their 28 day satisfaction policy on electrical goods and mentioned that I'd be re-buying the item at the new, lower price.

A swift call to the manager and the difference between the two prices was refunded.

Most stores offer some sort of refund policy..if you see an item cheaper it's always worth a go!

I have done this before! I also was in Karen Millen and someone came in furious because they'd bought something that was now reduced, the manager said to bring it back at 6pm to return it, then come back in at 9am and buy it again!!

Amazon is like a lottery, the figures go up and down all the time.

Just an update, the company said that the price was a mistake by Amazon, the hi-fi had actually only gone down by £8, which they offered to refund. I thought that was good of them, they are called Peter Tyson from Carlisle.

I ordered a tent from Littlewoods for £94. I looked today online at my account and noticed they are now selling the tent for £78. I then looked on Very (Littlewoods and Very seem to have the same owners) and they have the same tent reduced to £62!

Needless to say the tent I brought is going back and I'll reorder the Very one and save myself £32.

Very is cheaper than Littlewoods as its an online 'Department' store.

Unfortunately that is life. I have had many customers asking to return an item and buy it back at the reduced price, but we don't offer that. They can certainly pick the same item off a counter and buy it back but not the actual item they are returning. It's a fair policy otherwise everyone would just return stuff and re-buy at a reduced price.

You need to remind yourself that you were happy to pay that price when you first bought it

Hi, can you still claim the difference back from amazon if they drop the price of something you've bought within 10 days? How do I do it please? X
