Problem with Experian. Help please

A month ago I applied for a mortgage with Britannia. They credit checked me with Experian and it was all ok. The offer came through on Monday last week with completion set for next Friday.

My lawyer noticed a glitch on the offer with an address detail. They updated this and the Britannia resubmitted the offer. Well that was the plan anyway. Before resubmitting the offer they rechecked me on Experian and it showed I had a balance on my credit card of £700. This is actually not correct. It was an amount I spent and paid back onto the card within a 3 day period.

I have contacted the Halifax and they have updated my record with Experian. (This will take 3 working days for Halifax to process).

Does anyone know if I ring Experian on Monday and explain this, whether or not they will update my report or do I need to wait another month?

Your help would be much appreciated.

Get your email over now explaining and they will update records in a day or two, they did this for me last week as I had paid my credit card off twice and it wasn't showing.

If halifax are like RBS it only gets done at the end of the month.

Get a letter of halifax to give to britannia that should help.
