Advice requested please x

Hi all

I need a tad help! I have really limited money.
I posted my soa last week ( see previous posts), as I know I have no money! I'm usually left with about £20 each month to live off ( bear in mind this is once most major bills are left over).

I know my issue is tiny in comparison to what some people on here are facing at 3 am but this is a problem anyway! I have £32 and out of this I really need to pay for the dentist and get a birthday present for my best friend. Also be able to do something for her birthday.

This may be pushing it (obviously) but can anyone help as to how I can do all of these this month? the only one I could delay is the dentist (until next month) but I'm scrimping badly next month to, so may not help in the long run.

I know I need to learn to budget better but as my previous post before suggests in I'm only in this predicament for the next 4 months, so a extra job may not help I this situation.

Plus can anyone give me advice on how to say no to anything else?

Please help x

How about saying to your best friend that you cook her a great meal for her birthday present? Or just be up front and say your are skint?

I'm with Chevalier, if she is your best friend, she will surely understand how broke you are and not expect you to spend your last £30 on her birthday!!

You could maybe have a girls night in, watch a DVD, make face packs, paint nails, etc. Or give her a nice "IOU a great night out when I'm back on my feet" voucher?

I presume you have done all the obvious like car-booting all your spare tatt, E-baying, recycling old phones etc?
  • I agree that your best friend should understand. Could you make her something?

Agree with the others, offer her something 'free' like a cooked meal or do an IOU. My best friend couldn't afford to buy me a birthday present in March as she had just bought a new car, but she has just bought me a ticket to a rugby match in June now she has some spare money. (But I would have been happy with nothing!)

    Hello!

How about making something for your best friend ? -maybe put together a collection of photos of great times you've had together - or maybe make her a birthday cake ??

I think it looks so much better when somebody goes to the effort to make something personal rather than just purchasing something in seconds from a shop.
