Do Tesco take competitor coupons?

Hi all,

I had a voucher for £4 off a £20 spend for sainbos and i have used these before at Mr T's.

So today did my usual shop £48.xx and then handed over my coupon but cashier said sorry dont accept them anymore...?

He said that Tesco only take their own coupons now....

Is this correct?? When did this happen??

Gonna have to start shopping at Sainsburys now....as ive got a few weeks worth of these vouchers in a mailing....

Tesco stopped taking other store's coupons about six months ago!

ive been away n this is the first time i received these vouchers since i came back. Wow 6 months....im a bit out of date then

Since Tescos stopped accepting competitors vouchers I have been to Tescos much much less. This decision must have had an impact on them because I cannot be the only one who is spending much less in Tesco now than I used to as a result. Also I tend to buy my petrol from where I do the main weekly shop so Tesco have lost many of my petrol purchases too.
