Defaults x 3 & a CCJ ( I think) help needed

Hi,

I sold my house to pay off all my defaulted accounts last year as I couldn't handle having them hanging over me any longer although I was in payment arrangements to clear them and was doing so no problem at all. I think we also had what is classed as a CCJ as it was logged on the registry to prevent me selling the house without paying it first......
Never had to go to court or anything tho....
On my credit report this so called CCJ is showing as default and not cleared. The credit reference agency has advised I contact the court but I have no contact info at all....I'm not even sure if it is a CCJ??

It was for a RBS personal loan (HATE RBS THEY DONE ME OVER BIG TIME) total of £3500 which has been cleared for a year now. I'm trying my very best to clean up myself and my husbands credit score for hopefully buying a house in the future but so far I'm not doing very well.

2 of the defaults for myself are only showing as satisfied instead of settled like the rest. Is there a difference??

I find this all very confusing and I don't know what to do to progress further.

Help really needed from anyone?? I'll answer any questions I can.

Thank you

I'm pretty sure that satisfied and settled mean pretty much the same thing - that the debt has been paid/balance has been settled to the satisfaction of the lender.

As for the CCJ stuff, I don't really have any experience there sorry!

Its so annoying.....why can't they put account closed then it shows there is no longer a financial relationship there! I just think settled sounds a lot more final than satisfied. I'm just so confused by the whole credit report carry on.....just found out by reading on here I need to check 3 of them now. And i'm sure I'll need to pay money to see them.... MONEY MONEY MONEY! Life is taken over by the stuff! :o)

Heh yep, dealing with debt is never easy :) Then again, the hassle of it all keeps me motivated not to build any up again!

I would definitely advise contacting the court and finding out about the CCJ though, lenders take these very seriously and it will remain on your credit report for 6 years. Did you actually pay the amount that the CCJ was taken out against you for? If you have paid it, it should be recorded as 'satisfied' etc. I think.

I am actually debt free now as I sold my house to clear it last year, it was the hefty price I had to pay - saying bye to my wee house but I was sinking miserably! All money was paid in full by the solicitor selling our house as it had to be released from the registry?? for the sale to go thru as the court had put a hold on it but after that I don't really know whats what. My credit reference report has a big red exclamation mark next to it asking me to confirm this as settled with the court who would then contact them.... I don't even know what court or what even to ask for....

    :)
