Pay wonga and swift sterling first (hopefully you can clear these if you don't pay the other debts)
Then call each of the other creditors and explain the situation to them. Ask for a one month break (and maybe up future monthly payments by £5 or so if they make a deal of it). Most creditors (not Wonga type places) will give you one month off if they think you will stick to the plan in future.
Ps, if you have sky TV/smoke etc, creditors will take a dim view of you and the fact that you are choosing to spend on luxuries when you should be paying them. They may not allow you to depart from your agreement if this is the case.
Problem is ,i will only have enough from my wage to pay wonga !! If i could pay both, then to be honest,i wouldn't have a problem....And i know that not paying Swift is going to cause me probs, but i really do not have a choice..and not paying my other creditors to pay Swift ,would not touch a fraction of it !!
How stupid was I!

If i have my wages get paid into other acc.then there will be no money in original acc.for Swift to get ! I do not have an over-draft facility ! Am i right ??0

They will still try to take it though and then you will end up with bank charges from your bank. As others have said you need to close this account and then make payment arrangements with them to pay off the debt.MFW 2025 #50: £1139.75/£600007/03/25: Mortgage: £67,000.00

Agree with FREEZ here, close the account down. It might seem like a lot of hassle but these pay day loan companies are a right nasty lot, and even though you don't have an overdraft facility it doesn't mean that they won't take the money and put you into an unauthorised overdraft costing you lots of money. They don't care how difficult your financial situation is and they certainly won't show you any sympathy. Better safe than sorry.DMP Mutual Support Thread No. 421

Hi i know just how you feel, am just about to pay off my final payday loan and i will never get one again, definitely do not just get a new card they will still take your money.
Have you tried calling them to accept a split payment ? Its worth a try yes I know it will mean extra charges but if you are just about to get yourself in the clear and it means another month of haggling then it may be worth it. I have managed to negotiate with payday express before and pay day uk but I will never EVER touch them again it is a vile trap for vulnerable people to fall into. I do sympathise, have you spoken to CCCS to see what all your options are re your debt, maybe a debt relief order may be appropriate and will give you a clean slate, explore all the options before you decide. Good luck I know how it feels.0 -
Thankyou so much everyone, for all your advice and such kind understanding..this alone makes my head feel clearer :A.
But can i add another issue..
I had a loan with Citi financial ,many years ago,( about £2000,in i think 2005)i defaulted after moving to another address, got many many letters, but ignored them. Then finally ,in Dec.2009,i got a very threatening letter from Mackenzie Hall,my balance i vaguely remember was £4,000 or there abouts. So i set up a Standing order for £25.00 a month.Having moved a couple of times more,i lost all the paperwork,or stupidily binned it.Now to be honest, the payments were very sparodic, out of 29 payments,i only have paid 17,( the last 2 payments April,May being the most recently missed)which makes £425,that i have paid, leaving me with a total i guess 0f about £3,920.But my plan was to increase payments from June,as i can amend payments on my on-line bank acc.The thing is,if i close my acc.then i will have to contact M.H,which i am dreading. The odd thing is,on both my credit reports, there is nothing showing for M.H only a default on the 30.04.2008 for 1st credit for £4,343,with no action since that date.I am very confused..should i contact M.H or close acc. and see what happens.
Sorry to go on ,but really want to do the right thing !!0 -
Why don't you go the whole hog and contact one of the free debt counselling organisations? Payplan and CCCS are what most people use. Put all and I mean ALL your debts into the one plan. You pay one payment a month and payplan or CCCS pay all your creditors for you. That way everyone is getting paid each month regularly and you can change your bank account without difficulty. If you contact M.H. to tell them that is what you are doing (do it by letter if you can't face phoning them) I'm sure they would be OK because they will be getting regular payments. You will get lots of help and support too and some companies are easier to deal with when you go through a recognised debt counselling agency, and you will feel a whole lot happier knowing that everything is sorted and being paid off.DMP Mutual Support Thread No. 421
