You have to be careful about buying cheap Birkenstocks. Like the ones they used to sell in TJHughes, the sides of the strap don't go all the way round to the bottom like the original Birkenstocks do. None of the sandals on the official Birkenstock website are attached to the top, they all go round to the bottom. The ones on Amazon are like the official ones. I don't know if it's a cheaper sort they make for budget shops like soletrader and TKMaxx. Someone on here once commented that the budget style were more likely to rub, although I'm sure there'll be a lot of people saying they are ok. Hope that makes sense!

The Relax 100 are like the Madrid but as above are narrower as the strap goes inside not out, also were shorter despite being the same size as I usually buy! They were no good for me so ended up giving them to a friend with slightly smaller feet! I've worn the same style for years so not a rogue 'larger' pair!
