How to stop faux fur coat from shedding.

Bought a faux fur leopard print coat. It's gorgeous, however, it is shedding fibers onto my clothes.
I have hoovered it, but it hasn't made much difference.
Is there a way I can stop the shedding, or will it just stop itself once it's been worn for a while?

What's it made out of?
Maybe there's some kind of fixative spray that you could buy??

Hmm don't think there is such a thing. Also, wouldn't really want to spray chemicals on it.0
