Hey all
I tend to only ever buy UHT milk as I don't use that much of it living on my own. But I'm lucky in that if there is any milk left over in our work fridge at end of week then the boss allows me to take it home with me (cos I'm the only one who cleans the kitchen! :rotfl:).
Problem is the milk in work comes in the big 4 pint bottles, and I struggle to then freeze it (if I'm not going to use it asap) in suitable containers. There is usually only a pint or so left in the 4pinter when I take it home. I currenly use tupperware boxes but these then aren't great when defrosted to pour the milk out of for use.
I have sometimes scavenged plastic milk pint bottles of family to freeze it in, but the last one I had didn't last more than 4 freezes before cracking.
So I was wondering if anyone could recommend a tupperware-esque strong reusable freezable bottle, no bigger than 2 pint storage? I've looked online but can only really find drinks bottles.
Cheers

A cheap plastic drinks bottle form the nearest pound shop should do. Just remember not to fill the bottle too much (10% gap) or it will burst. Alternatively get the packs of small food containers & freeze enough for each days use in the individual containers.Truth always poses doubts & questions. Could you pinch an empty cola bottle from someone at work regularly? If they could give you one a week, wash it out and build up a supply. It saves buying anything and then when they get weak you can bung it in the recycling.0

Use a baby bottle. They are robust, designed for milk, leakproof and small enough to poke anywhere in the freezer. They can also be carried in a handbag upright! Also microwave safe and dishwasher safe.
We use a 25 year old bottle all the time for milk with our flask of coffee!0 -
I use the bottles you buy water or pop in, find they last for ages and as already been mentioned you could build up a small supply, keep at work so you can decant instantly to save you carrying the larger bottle home (& having to find somewhere at home to store them
