is there anywhere you can get a £500 loan and pay it over a year? this is for a friend who has no credit cards.

Credit Union, credit card, some mainstream lrnders still do £500 loans, and loan sharks aka the ones on the TV ads.

Very high interest but door step lender provident

thanks for the advice,will let him know.i offered him the money but he does not want to do that because it will take him a year to pay it up,which i don't mind.

Rather than just a doorstep lender he should try LendersCompared, an independent site that bigger doorstep lenders are required by regulation to participate in. It's often possible to find better deals there than the most obvious choices.
