where are the best car boot sales in edinburgh?

Now ive just bought my first home, need to clear out the house of all the crap i have gathered over the last three years and make some money to decorate the new place.

Where are the best places to go to sell? I know of the new street one on a sunday...does that still run? What time is a good time to get there? Is it every week?

Where else can i go?

What about auctions? What kind of stuff do they take and do you know which ones are good around lothian?

I know there is one a Chesser Avenue right next to Asda. I often see cars parking up for that on Sunday mornings. Sorry I have no further info

The one at Chesser is behind the Corn exchange - you enter down the side of the Corn Exchange as if your going to the bowling, but keep going on to the end.

I think its on Sat & Sunday mornings.

We did it last year & I think it cost maybe £10. We got their for 8am & the first hour was the busiest by far.

There is one at the Car Park near the St James Centre on Sundays.

I don't know much else about it except that my friend went to it last Sunday and was raving about it

Aw, thanks...are they both outdoors though? Bit worrying as i only have tiny car and as soon as i open the boot - everything is going to pour out all over the place - if it rains im going to be snookered LOL

Any more info on East Fortune - does Kinross market still run?
