Woolwich Mortgages Online

Hi all, I have just ported my mortgage over to the Woolwich and wondered if Ihave an online account for the mortgage.

I called their CS but was told by one agent that when I log in to myBarclays Online Account I should also be able to see my mortgage but was thentold by another agent that I had no online access to mortgage information andwould need to ring them to get the balance etc. As you can imagine, I amconfused! Does anyone have a definite answer?

if its of any help , i have a woolwich mortgage and a barclays online bank account and i can see my mortgage on there and the balance updates every month .
  • sillysi is that an offset mortgage?
    Only offsets appear online.

I have woolwich mortgage and its definately not available online. Ive already been down this route and made many enquiries about this. The only thing you will see online is the "mortgage current account" which you can use to work out your balance as its basically the amount of the capital you have paid off the original mortgage amount.(i think)

    its a tracker mortgage
  • so is mine(a tracker) and only the mortgage current account is online.(this only shows some nonsense number like -£21000(yes minus)) which i think is the capital i have paid off.

theres no mortgage balance or any mortgage payments or any of my very regular overpayments.

is your tracker also an offset?
  • Yep, mine's the same! I'm confused and i don't think the Woolwich CS know either!

  • Ive been on to woolwich many times about this. I am certain the mortgages are not online.(unless you have an offset)

Theres just the mortgage current account where you can take back what you have paid in at their svr rate.(about 5%)

Occasionly people post here to say their wolwich mortgage is online but often it turns out to be an offset....so im confused about sillysi's post as his mortgage is a tracker like mine?

On the plus side you can ring up and enquire and also theres the automated system where you can find out your balance out of office hours.

Be aware when you ring up and get the call center in India. They are notorious for giving miss-information. They read from scripts and it's like talking to a robot. So dont bother asking them anything technical.

I think this is correct. i have a Barclays/woolwich lifetime tracker but it is not an offset one. i have never had access t the mortgage details online.

We have a barclays/woolwich mortgage and we can see our mortgage on line, it is not an offset mortgage it is a fixed rate repayment mortgage BUT i think the only reason we have this access online is because we are premier customers.

We can also "service our mortgage" on line, which means, we can make overpayment at a click of a button which is fantastic! Just a shame i dont use this facility as often as i should :(
