We are desprate to move house but both me and my husbands credit ratings are really bad as we are both on a DMP also i no longer work only my husbands works full time now , we both worked full time when we first took out our morgage 10 years ago . We have never defaulted on our morgage always kept up to date . I would like to know what the chances are of us being able to move house so remorgaging with our current lender ? would our current lender do credit checks on us ?

Hi,
A remortgage for a house move is a completely new application so would have fresh credit checks.
It is likely you need to find a good local broker, but it may just be unlikely in your situation. If you want more specific advise, please tell us
your mortgage amount
house value
new house price
rough salary
debts currently outstanding
Thanks,
