Does anyone have any recent experience with HSBC processing times please? My purchaser's survey was carried out on Monday and I am hoping to complete on 17th May? Is there are agod chance of a mortgage offer being issued in 2 weeks? (Assuming everything else is in order of course).

It's the conveyancing side of things which seems to be holding things up, rather than the mortgage offer itself. See the HSBC / Countrywide thread on the House Buying board ...0

We just had our survey done and we had the valuation and the offer from HSBC the very next day.
I say they did our survey... we paid for the HomeBuyers survey and Direct Valuations only did a valuation. But they are going back next week to complete our survey, for our benefit (not the banks)
