HI Everyone,
I'm planning a birthday party for my son at the end of the month. I've ordered and paid for the bouncy castle already but I have £30 for all the party stuff - i.e. food, games etc.... any help and advice VERY GREATFULLY received! Roughly 15 kids coming!!

Do you have any baking ingredients you can make fairy cakes or other baked goods with? This will cut down costs. Then maybe you could have a game of cake decorating or something.0

also, do you or anyone you know have a old roll of wallpaper? stretch it out and get the kids to draw something, self portraits. massive treasure map anything really, my two do this for hours and love it!
with regards to food, I would get value products (tesco?) bread, fillngs etc, you will easily get enough food for 15 kids on this, and how about making the cake yourself?
you can do it! report back on how you get on x0 -
1. A loads of tinned hot dog sausages and bread rolls for the food (7 years olds like the grown up food at parties!). Maybe a couple of tesco value cheese and tomato pizzas too?
2. Last year, instead of party bags (which let's face usually just contain crap.....) I bought a set of books from the Book People and wrapped each up individually for each child. They loved it and it was far more use than a plastic whistle lol. Something like this: http://www.thebookpeople.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/qs_product_tbp?storeId=10001&catalogId=10051&langId=100&productId=138524
3. Instead of a cake, recent parties mine have been to have given the kids a mini-muffin each instead (£3 for 2 boxes in Asda atm).
4. With a bouncy castle I doubt they'll need much more entertaining, but how about buying a bag of lollies and having a lolly-hunt. Or the good old fashioned games we used to play like musical chairs, sleeping lions, etc etc.
5. Have you got a patio? If so, and if it's nice some chalks would be fun for chalk drawing (or if you don't want the mess, some water and paintbrushes).0
